CELEBRATION CHRISTIAN SERVICES OF PENNSYLVANIA CELEBRATES 7 YEARS OF ACTIVE SERVICE
Rev. Thaddeus S. Taylor, Sr. the Executive Director of CCSPA organized this faith-based 501C3 public Charity in January 2016 to be a public service provider in the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington MSA. The services are designed to fill gaps in areas of need such as healthcare information, food services, financial education, secular education. antipoverty, anti-abuse, cultural awareness and other enlightening programs.
In addition, Thaddeus has been a licensed/ordained minister for almost 50 years (start date 2/1973). In ministry, he has pastored several churches for 15 plus years, was a Dean of Christian Education and Missions at a Missionary Training School and mentored several pastors, minister, teachers and missionaries in the USA. Thaddeus recently retired from the financial/banking services industry with more than 36 years of experience in a variety of executive financial service/banking roles that includes a period as an Analyst for the Federal deposit Insurance Corp. and as a Licensed Mortgage Broker/Owner in the State of Texas. Thaddeus Taylor graduated from the Philadelphia College of the Bible with Certifications in Pastoral Studies and New Church Ministries.
Monique Taylor serves on the Advisory Board as the Volunteer Coordinator Director and Program Coordinator. Mrs. Taylor started her career at the Defense Personnel Support Center in January of 1980 as a GS-2. Mrs. Taylor seemed to be on the fast track, she moved onto become a GS-3 Procurement Clerk for Installation Services, which lasted for about 6 months. In 1981, she was promoted to a GS-4 in the Subsistence, Supply Chain and received two more promotions between 1982 and 1986 in the Quality Assurance and Supply Divisions. In 1986 she moved onto the Medical Supply Chain, where she spent 18 years in different positions; ranging from Supply Clerk to General Supply Specialist, Management Analyst, and Supply Systems Analyst. During her time in Medical she was chosen to participate in a 1-year fellowship program to Temple University in 1992-93, where she took several Business classes. It did not stop there, several years later she returned to college and obtained her BA in Organizational Management from Eastern University in 2001, and an MBA from Eastern in 2004. Monique became a training instructor for the DLA Training Center in 2004, where she was one of the lead instructors for the Business Modernization Program. Her tenure as a DTC instructor lasted until 2006, when she returned to C&T. From 2006 until present Monique worked as GS-13, Supervisory Customer Relationship Manager. Mrs. Taylorled the Air Force & Army Exchange Teams, responsible for managing distribution of clothing items to more than 200 Military clothing Sale stores throughout the U.S and overseas. She later became the supervisor of the Army Recruit team, responsible for supporting 4 Army centers. She was also temporarily assigned as the GS-14 Recruit Division Chief. In the last leg of her career, she helped team members succeed in their careers and influence policy changes within the C&T organization. Additionally, she lead successful Lean Six projects, obtained her Green Belt, received Servant Leader recognition, the DLA Director’s Strategic Goal Award
Mrs. Joyce Scott serves on the Advisory Board of CCSPA in the role of Program Coordinator. Mrs. Scott is First Lady at New Bethany Baptist Church where he husband Wayne Scott is the Pastor. She is founder of Abundant Grace Outreach Ministries, a ministry formed to meet people where they are. To provide food, clothing or resources as needed. Mrs. Scott is a certified Christian Counselor and a Domestic Violence Advocate. She works with various organizations to provide assistance to domestic violence victims as well as awareness to the community. She has worked for the First Judicial District of Pa as a Court Clerk for over 20years She wrote the Christian play "Generational Truths" which we look to assist her organization in performing in the area.
Dr. Marquita V. Davis serves on the advisory board of Celebration Christian Services of PA as the Communications Coordinator as well as Program Coordinator. Over the past 14 years, Dr. Davis has been an accounting and finance professional, working with various firms and is currently working with a national legal services firm. Dr. Davis is also the CEO of Pragmatic Accounting LLC, a bookkeeping and tax services company. Dr. Davis holds a Doctoral degree specializing in Accounting from Walden University, a dual Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Law from Peirce College, an M.B.A. in Finance and M.S. in Public Accounting from Strayer University. Causes that are important to Dr. Davis include dedicating time to youth development, mentoring, and adult education. Dr. Davis is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), participating as a volunteer in the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP), as well as a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). Dr. Davis has a passion for learning, mentoring young adults, volunteering, and is passionate about social and economic change.
For over 20 years, Diana Utu was a member of the US Coast Guard. Her locations ranged from New York to Florida and her duties including managing the procurement department and handling day to day operations at the District offices. Her last role was managing the Exchange Stores from New York to Florida. In 2001, Diana joined TD Bank Retail Division as a Senior Store Manager in the Philadelphia Market. Her unique skill set includes expertise in relationship management and business development. Since 2001, Diana Utu has successfully managed four (4) separate TD Bank Stores within a mature Philadelphia market to top-tier performance Bank-wide.
Diana is consistently commended by both peers and Senior Leadership for high level performance and dedication to both clients and employees. Most recently Dian Utu has been recognized as an integral bilingual Community Leader and has shown her dedication to community involvement through her managing of TD Bank's local partnerships with Youth Build, PAL, Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia, Tree Philly, Women's Leadership Initiative, and the Philadelphia Business Journal. In addition, Ms. Utu is also TD Bank's United Way Ambassador for the Philadelphia market and also leads the Financial Literacy campaigns for the entire Bank footprint within the U.S.
Throughout Ms. Utu's storied career, she has been acknowledged as a Top Performer bank-wide six times and has been selected to represent the Philadelphia Market at various local and bank-wide events and award ceremonies. She currently is a Vice President Senior Store Manager and handles the larger relationships in the Philadelphia area and continues to deliver legendary leadership to her superiors, her peers, as well as her customers and employees.
